September 29, 2023
At Aspire Hub, with over 30 years of experience in disability services, we understand the importance of finding the right NDIS rental properties. Our dedicated and friendly team is always here to assist you. From specialist disability housing to individual support, we’ve been helping hundreds of people in Ipswich and throughout southeast Queensland. When it comes to securing your ideal home, count on us to guide you every step of the way!
Finding the right NDIS Rental Properties
First, consider the location. It’s important to find a home close to work, family, and friends, as well as amenities you may access like hospitals, shopping centres, and public transport. At Aspire Hub, our vacancies are always located in well-connected areas, so you can make the most out of your new home and be central to amenities and go-to services.
Finding a home to suit your needs
Once you’ve found the right location, it’s time to find a home that suits your needs. Take a look at your NDIS plan and see what is and isn’t included in your plan, as well as what level of support you need. Whether it’s Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) or Supported Independent Living (SIL), your plan will guide you with what to look for in a home. Need help? If you need assistance accessing or reading your plan, reach out to us here.
In our listings, you’ll notice we include the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, and car spaces as well as the tenant considerations and more information on the property. Before inspecting a home, we’ll also have a chat with you about your needs so we can find the right disability services to suit you, before moving in. From there, we can help organise an inspection so you can see the home for yourself.
If you can’t find a home that suits you, reach out to us today! We’re always on the lookout for new homes and disability services so we recommend getting in touch for more information. A full list of our NDIS Rental properties in Ipswich can be found here.
Moving into your new home
So you’ve found the perfect home! Now what happens?
While the NDIS doesn’t fund the costs associated with moving house, we can still offer support in your new home. Most of our homes are partly furnished so in most cases you’ll only need to supply bedroom furniture, however, we’ll let you know if you need any extra furniture for your home. We’ll also let you take charge of the decision-making in your home, from decorating your room to household decisions, we’ll always keep you in the loop.
When it comes to board and lodging, we charge 70 percent of the Disability Support Pension (DSP) which covers rent, food, and utilities. – including power, gas, and water, meaning you won’t have the added burden of worrying about when and how to pay your bills (who doesn’t love that!).
Whether it’s Ipswich or southeast Queensland, we want to help you find the right home so you can continue to kick your independence goals!
